Are Aliens On The Moon? Scientists Want YOU To Join The Search

This is along the line of what I had proposed with SETINE - Search for Extra-Terrestrial Intelligence Near Earth The idea that if they are out there, then they must be out there.

If there is life, the odds are it's 100's millions of years ahead or behind us.

I mean the universe is something like 14 Billion years old. We are to believe life started on earth 4 Billion years and here we are out of 4 billion years it's really the past 100 that Earth finally has technology and the ability for it's life to influence the universe beyond the surface of this one planet?

The odds of finding a race that's a few 1000 years ahead of us is slim, very slim. Even a few million is slim. Given our changes in the past 100,000 years, or even the past 100 it next to impossible to imagine where us Humans and our machine will be in 100,000 years. Our descendants, I expect, would appear very alien to us. So much so it may be hard to prove or even convince people that we were ever even related.

So with such a difference in Time/Evolution a visitor might not even be recognized by most and would just be crazy talk by those who are willing to share what they saw.

Another thing that occurred to me is life forms surviving and evolving in the vacuum of space could be possible. It may not even be required to be intelligent such as John Glenn's fireflies.

American scientists want to enlist online volunteers to identify signs of alien life in moon images collected by NASA’s Lunar Reconnaissance Orbiter (LRO).
Physicists Paul Davies and Robert Wagner ofArizona State University believe there may be signs of extra terrestrial life in the form of messages, scientific instruments, waste or evidence of mining that could be spotted by human telescopes and orbiting spacecraft.
In their paper published online in the journal Acta Astronautica, the pair wrote: “Although there is only a tiny probability that alien technology would have left traces on the moon in the form of an artefact or surface modification of lunar features, this location has the virtue of being close, and of preserving traces for an immense duration.
"If it costs little to scan data for signs of intelligent manipulation, little is lost in doing so, even though the probability of detecting alien technology at work may be exceedingly low.”
“The lunar environment could preserve artefacts for millions of years.”
The LRO has been taking pictures of the moon’s surface since 2009, with more than 340,000 images collected so far.
According to Davies and Wagner, it would be impossible for one team to examine the ever-growing number of images, hence their suggestion to involve amateur enthusiasts in what they claim would make “an excellent educational project”.
They also suggest building computer software that could recognise irregularities on the moon’s surface.
The proposals would complement other hunts for alien life, including the Search For Extraterrestrial Intelligence (SETI), which uses data from radiotelescopes.

Hello, I want to advice you about a new discovery about strange constructions on the moon. Please find it here.

Anyway nice blog!
